Black blood is a genetic mutation which does not occur often, it being the result of a demon/human union (and there is an existent offspring). The person born with this genetic mutation is able to use the blood as a weapon and a shield. However, black blood has a downside - a person born with black blood has a special ability known as a madness wavelength, which lowers their sanity by about 150% (according to psychologists and neuroscientists).
